About Hognose

Snake Bio:

The western hognose snake (Heterodon nasicus) is a small, venomous species native to North America. Recognizable by its upturned nose, it uses this unique feature to dig in sandy soils. Western hognose snakes are known for their docile nature and playful antics, including “playing dead” when they feel threatened. Our snake, Koki Von Derpington, joined our family on October 10, 2024, and has been a fascinating, gentle companion ever since!
